抑えきれない意欲　The Irrepressible

皆さん、こんにちは！
「課題として出されてない曲を練習することは良くないことですか？」という質問を、私の教室では何度か頂いたことがあります。
その多くは、過去師事したことのある先生から、「宿題になってないものを独学してはならない」と指導されてきたといったご経験に起因しています。
生徒が身の丈に合わない楽曲を持ってきた場合は、もちろん、教師がストップをかける必要があります。
しかし、通常の教則本であれば、モチベーションがあり、かつ才能に恵まれた生徒なら、特に課題として与えられていなくとも自力で弾いて来るのは自然なことです。
ウィステリア・ピアノクラスでは、そういった自発性を啓発することは、教師に課せられた大きな責任の一つであると考えます。
指導者が先行して動くようなレッスンを続けていたら、生徒は永久に独り立ち出来ません。
個々に備わった創造性の芽を摘まないために、生徒の自由な思考や感性を尊重することは、レッスンにおいて特に求められる事柄です。
お一人お一人の生徒さんの豊かな音楽性が育っていくために、全ての環境が最善に整えられ、自由にピアノを弾くことが出来ると良いですね。
I have had the following questions from parents who have a truly motivated child.
For example, the student has been learning the piano at another piano class that has a strict curriculum.
One mother told me that her son is so interested in the piano that she tends to practice the other pieces before his teacher even assigns them
Every time her teacher tells her not to play any pieces until she gives them as homework.
As a result, her boy is gradually losing interest in music.
The mother asked me whether or not it is good or bad.
In my opinion, every person who has musicality naturally has
irrepressible motivation that should never be repressed.
In the lessons that are always being led by the instructors never cultivating the students talents and independency.
Respecting every student’s creativity and individuality is one of the most important things in teaching.
I hope every student will progress in a good environment with abundant musicality.
