壊れたファ Broken F
新型コロナウィルス感染拡大防止のため、長い間レッスンをお休みしている有望な生徒の一人が、練習風景を動画にして送ってきました。
During a long term of no-lessons due to Covid-19, one of my prominent students sent me a video of her practicing.
私はその生徒のピアノの鍵盤の一つが、沈んだままになっていることに気づきました。
I noticed one key of her piano kept sunk.
それは最も高い「ファ」で、彼女が練習しているショパンのスケルツォ第二番の中で、頻繁に使用される鍵盤です。弦が一度切れたら、その現象は他の弦にまで伝搬し、連鎖的に切れてゆくことがあります。
It was the highest F key that is often used in her choice of pieces “Chopin’s scherzo No.2” .
Once one string breaks, the phenomenon would rub off on the other strings.
それで、彼女に次回ピアノ調律師訪問の前に、そのことを伝えるよう助言しました。手に負えない状態になる前に、対策をしておくことが大切です。
So, I advised her to notify the piano tuner about it before his next visit. It’s nice to be able to deal with a situation before it gets out of control.
