Tomorrow, we will have a student recital!

Unfortunately, one of the school events, an eight grader’s picnic, is on the same day.

It is barely possible to manage both get by due to the different time.

However, one student told me that he wouldn’t join the picnic event because he wants to prepare for the piano recital focusing on his performance.

So, I offered him to provide with a grand piano that is downstairs of the stage to warm his fingers up.

In the past, there was a similar case.

One first grader cancelled her sport day event, because she opted to focus on the recital whole day rather than rushing into the concert hall covered in sweat.

Every event is important. However, we sometimes face the situations we have to choose. I hope your choices are right for all of you!

インターナショナルスクールでの発表会が、とうとう明日に迫ってきました！

8年生（中学部の卒業学年）の戸外イベントと、運悪く、日が重なってしまったのですが、時間的には、両方参加しても、辛うじて何とかなりそうなスケジュールです。

その中の一人の生徒が、「ピクニックには参加しないことにします。その代わり、早めに会場に来て、グランドピアノで当日の指ならしをして備えたい。」と言いました。

過去にも、スポーツデイ（運動会）と重なってしまった小学部一年生の子がいて、やはり時間的には両立が可能なスケジュールだったのですが、その子も、「運動で汗をかいた後に、ステージでピアノを弾きたくない。その日は演奏に集中したい。」という理由で、スポーツイベントをキャンセルして、早々と演奏会場の客席に座って私を待っていました。

それぞれのイベントはどれも大切ですね。そして、時として、私たちは何かを選ばなければならない事柄に直面します。その選択が、皆様方にとって良いものでありますように・・・。
