小さなピアニスト Tiny Pianist
昨年末、タイから来た女の子のレッスンを開始しました。彼女はお母さんと3才になる妹と一緒にレッスンに来ています。彼女はとても音楽が好きで、毎日ピアノの練習をしているので、先月末に行われた発表会では、大変上手に演奏することが出来ました。
彼女がレッスンを受けている間、幼い妹はしきりに、テーブルの上で指を動かしています。それがなかなかリズミカルで、あたかも本物のピアニストのように見えます！それで、お母さまと「4歳になったらレッスンを開始しましょう。」という話になっていました。
ところが、先日の発表会の記念品がお姉さんだけに渡されたのを見て、幼い妹は大泣きを始めました！その後、お母様から「来月からレッスンを開始して下さい。」と頼まれました。来年の発表会では、きっと自分へのギフトを手に、笑顔を見せてくれることでしょう！

I started to teach piano to a girl from Thailand at the end of last year. She comes with her mother and her little 3-year-old sister. This student really loves music and practices every day,so she performed very well on stage at the end of last month.
While her big sister is taking her piano lessons, the little one moves her fingers rhythmically on the table as if she were a real pianist herself! Because of this, the mother and I had been discussing the possibility of her other daughter taking up lessons too once she turns 4 years old.
However, when she saw me giving her sister a gift for her participation in the recent recital, she burst into tears upon hearing her elder sibling say, " It's mine!".
After that, the mother decided to let her start lessons from the following month instead of waiting for her birthday.
No doubt she'll be delighted when she receives her own gift after the next recital!
