小さくて大きいピアノ　Piano in the clouds

私が勤務するインターナショナルスクールは、あと2週間で夏休みに入ります。
多くのご家庭は旅行に出掛けたり、郷国に帰ったりします。
これは楽しいイベントのハズなのですが、多くの生徒さんは練習環境について心配します。
一人の生徒は「アメリカの空港に置いてあったグランドピアノで練習した」と言って、私を驚かせました。
又、別の幾人かの生徒は、飛行機の中で練習するだけのスペースを確保するために、ビジネスクラスにしたのだそうです。
それらは小さな鍵盤楽器ですが、座席に広げると大きな楽器になってしまいますよね！

The international school I work will have a two week summer break.
Some families have already planed on a leisure trip or back to their home countries.
Whereas travel must be a fun event, a lot of students worry about their practice environments.
One student told me that she played a grand piano in an airport in the US.
Some other students practiced in their seats on the airplanes.
They had business classes to have plenty of space to spread their portable pianos out! Talk about dedication.
