ジャズとクラッシックの違い　と　英語発音レッスン

昨年の秋から英語のチットチャットのグループに参加しています。
 
月に１回集まり、英語のみでお喋りします。
 
最初の頃は、お酒を飲みながら、食事をしながらだったのですが、
 
最近は、プレゼンがあったり、テーマがあったり
 
他のメンバーは、かなり話せる方達なので冷や汗たらたらで。参加しています。
 
そして、少し前からまとめ役の英語の先生に文法や、コミュニケーションの技術に
ついて、レッスンを受けています。
 
 
今日は、先生にお願いして特別にジャズヴォーカルのための
 
発音のレッスンをしていただきました。
 
 
選んだ曲は　　ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE
 
メロディーも、コードチェンジも難しい
 
それを、弾き語りするのだから、
 
歌詞に気を配っている暇はない
 
しっかり覚えて格好いい発音でうたえたら～素敵
 
　R　と　L　と　Th　の発音　発声をしっかりなおされました。
 
それから、リエゾンの仕方ですね。
 
自分では、Connie Evingsonになりきって歌ってましたが、だいぶ違ってました。
 
そして、
 
明日には、　英語でチットチャットの会があります。

私が、プレゼンすることになってるので(..;)

プレゼンの原稿を先生に預けて帰りました。
 
ラインで、少し手直しをしていただきました。

What is difference between jazz and classic music.
 
If I join a quartet of classical music.
I have to play according to the score.
Sometimes, I practice a lot for a long time.
 
If I join quartet of jazz.
I can play right away, using a lead sheet of melody and chord changes.
 
 
To take an example, a trip is a music.
Classical music is a planned trip.
And jazz is an unplanned trip.
 
You must prepare for the trip perfectly
You have to spend a lot of time to prepare for train, hotel, tour route, Restaurant, and time schedule.
 
But, if you happen to fined beautiful place or want take a break, you must keep on your plan.
 
The other plan is decided only where to go.
All you have is a map.
 
You can travel as you want.
You may have to wait a train for a long time.
 Or you may not find a hotel
 
But, you may find good place no one knows, make a good friend and you take a rest anytime.
 
Which trip would you choose?
 
When I joined to session in Tokyo. There were two ladies from Hokkaido and Otsu-city did a wonderful performance.
So I also played. Because I was inspired by two ladies.
 
Some my jazz students who learned classical piano suffer from that difference.
 
I always have a hard time to explain the difference.
