Doing it Right!
Today one of my students, who is senior (12 grade), showed me an award certificate for his achievement. That is to say, he was awarded a prize for exceptional students performing in the piano.
Later, a string teacher visited my lesson room to say congratulations. She is the one who recommended my student for the award. She has known the student had been working hard to cooperate with the orchestra and get the piece just right.
I was as happy to hear my colleagues “Congratulations!” as the audience was to hear my students performance.
私が勤務しているインターナショナルスクールでは、12年生（日本でいう高校３年生）のうちで、秀でた能力を認められた生徒には、卒業（６月）にあたって、表彰することになっています。
フレデリック・ショパン・アウォードという「ピアノ演奏に特に優秀であった人」に与えられる賞を、いただいた生徒さんがいます。
オーケスタらとの共演に積極的であったことが、審査においての決め手となったそうです。努力の甲斐がありましたね。おめでとうございました！
