Glenn Gould (1932-1982) had eccentric musical ideas and interpretations and habits.
He played with unusual tempos, dynamics, and articulations. He sat really low at the piano and hummed countermelodies as he played.
He became fascinated with the music of J. S. Bach and performed his pieces in new, revolutionary ways.
From a very early age Gould showed a talent for music. When he was six, he attended a piano recital of Jpsef Hofmann, and was very impresses by him!
