９月も終わりに近づいてきましたね。祝日ですが、私は今日もレッスンがあります。
さて、季節の変わり目ですから、不調を起こしているピアノも多いのではないでしょうか。
楽器にとって最も良い環境は、快晴であること、温度は２０℃前後、湿度は５０%程度と言われていますが、温度と湿度は相関関係にあります。たとえば、室温が高くなると、適正湿度の数値は下がりますので、楽器の環境管理には知識が必要です。また、欧州製のピアノか国内製かということでも、多少異なってきます。
数字上ではベストの管理下にあるはずなのに、楽器のコンディションが悪いということもあります。実際に楽器（たとえばハンマーフェルト）が含んでいる水分と、空気中にある水分とでは誤差があるからです。
ですから、楽器メンテナンスの最終チェックは、機械の数字に頼るのではなく、所有者が愛情をもって、コンディションの変化に気を配るとことが大切です。

The Piano is happiest in moderate weather conditions, when the skies are clear, tempratures stay between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and the humidity in the air is around 50%. The piano, like other wood instruments is strongly affected by the weather.
Monitoring the air condition using devices is important in protecting your piano, but it is not enough. Please pay attention to the sounds if it is sharp, sluggish, and if keys are sticking or not etc. Talk with your piano technician about things you can do to keep your piano happy.
