外国の怖いお話・・・ An Italian Ghost Story…
楽譜の中には多くのイタリア語が用いられています。それは、ずっと昔、活躍していた音楽家の多くが、イタリア人だったことに由来するのです。
それで、世界中の音楽家たちは、たとえイタリア語を話さなくとも、音楽の中に用いられるイタリア語を理解しているのです。それらを譜面の中だけでなく、実際の生活の中で使用される言葉として理解すると、曲に対するイメージが更に豊かなものになってゆきます。
さて、次の怖いお話にはいくつかの「イタリア語」が出てきます。各場面を絵画的に思い描いたり、台詞を声に出して表現してみたりすることによって、「音楽用語」への理解が更に深まると思いますよ！
≪昔ある所に、古いお屋敷がありました。中には誰も住んでいないはずなのに、音楽が聞こえるという噂があったので、人々は怖がって近づこうとしませんでした。
さて、ある日のこと、みのる君と、友達の花ちゃんが一緒に、このお屋敷に向かってadagio（アダージョ）で歩いていました。
花ちゃんが、forte（フォルテ）の声で、「私、怖くないわ。」と言いました。辺りに「お化け」と思われるものは何ひとつ見当たりません。すると、みのる君がpianissimo（ピアニッシモ）でこう囁きました。「僕は真夜中に、音楽が鳴っているのを確かに聞いたんだ。」
二人は建物に近づくにつれて、だんだん鼓動がaccerelando（アッチェレランド）になり、ついにはallegro（アレグロ）に達しました。
そしてドアを引くと、「ギーッ」という音を立てて開きました。すると、そこには古いオルガンがあり、誰も弾いていないのに、ひとりでに dolce（ドルチェ）の旋律を奏でていました。
二人が耳を傾けていると、音楽はcrescendo（クレッシェンド）を帯びたagitato（アジタート）になり、piano（ピアノ）から、遂にはfortissimo（フォルテッシモ）に変化しました。それで、二人はドアからpresto（プレスト）で飛び出し、一目散に逃げ帰りました。
その後、オルガンの前に姿を現したお化けは、「やれやれ・・・」と、doloroso（ドロローソ）の声色で呟きました。「誰ひとりとして、僕と一緒に音楽を楽しみたがる人はいない・・・。僕は、少なくともcon spirito（コン・スピリト＝生気をもって）で演奏しているのに！」≫

≪Once upon a time, in a certain area, there was an old house that no one lived in. People would avoid going near it because there was a rumor that music was being played in the house.
One day, Minoru and his friend Hana walked ‘adagio’ toward the spooky old house. Hana said a little too ‘forte’ “I’m not scared at all!”. In reality, there were no such things as ghosts around there.
Minoru whispered pianissimo “I heard music coming from the house very late at night the other day.” As the two children approached the dark house, their hearts started to pound “accelerando”, then reached an “allegro” tempo.
They pulled open the creaky door, and came upon an old organ generating a”dolce” melody, but nobody was playing! While they were listening to the music, it became “agitate” and with a “crescendo” went from “piano” to a “fortissimo”.
The children were so frightened, and ran “presto” out the door and all the way home. Shortly after, a ghost suddenly appeared near the organ, and said “Sigh.” in a “doloroso” tone. He continued “Much to my disappointment, no one wants to enjoy music with me even though at the very least, I always play “con spirito”!.≫
